Mary Magdalene embraced Jesus’s ministry early, and clung to him to the end…and beyond. She was among the women who were at the cross when he died, and was there when they put what was left of him into the tomb. It was still dark when she returned to the tomb three days later, finding it empty. After the two apostles who had come to the tomb to verify her story had departed, Mary stayed at the tomb, crying. Just then, a man approached her, and asked, “Why are you crying?” Thinking the intruder must be the gardener, she said that if it was he who had moved the body, she would appreciate knowing the location. In response, he said, “Mary.” In that one word, she knew it was Jesus to whom she was speaking and, out of sheer joy, she threw her arms around him. “Don’t cling to me,” he said, gently loosening her grip. He told her he had much to do and far to go, and that did she, too. It was only later, while the disciples were gathered together discussing the revivification that Mary and a few others said they had experienced, that Jesus appeared to them, inviting anyone who was willing to take his hand, and cling to him for as long as they wanted.

Did Jesus have a Problem with Affection?
John 20:1-18, Luke 24:36-49
Who We Are
Shiloh Community Church is a group of Believers who point at Jesus and say, "We can't prove a thing, but there's something about his eyes and his voice. There's something about the way he carries his head, his hands, the way he carries his cross—the way he carries us.”
We believe Jesus when he said, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me." (John 14:6) He didn't say that any doctrine or denomination was the way, the truth, and the life. He said that he was.
We are a group of Believers who are on the way, though not necessarily very far along it, and who have at least some dim and half-baked notion of whom to thank.
